Behaviour modification is a specialist area, and differs
from dog obedience problems. Many factors need to be
taken into account. Early experience, socialisation,
environment, diet, medical conditions, and training can
all contribute to problem behaviour. Therefore a detailed
history of the problem is the first step to an accurate
diagnosis. As each dog is genetically different and has
had different experential learning, it is important that
correct diagnosis of the problem and appropriate
behaviour modification techniques are identified.
Therefore it is important to seek professional advice from
a qualified Behaviourist.
